Richard Falk's response to UN Secretary General

Richard Falk "stressed . . . the importance of carefully examining evidence before drawing conclusions about political and legal responsibility for highly sensitive public acts, and the importance for the serenity of the society of achieving closure in a responsible manner. [He] never endorsed doubts about the official version of 9/11 beyond indicating what anyone who has objectively examined the controversy knows — that there remain certain gaps in the official explanation that give rise to an array of conspiratorial explanations, and that the 9/11 Commission unfortunately did not put these concerns to rest. [His] plea was intended to encourage addressing these gaps in a credible manner, nothing more, nothing less."

Re U.N. chief condemns rights expert's 9/11 comments

Vijay Nambiar
Chief of Staff
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

Dear Mr. Nambiar:

Re U.N. chief condemns rights expert's 9/11 comments
Reuters, January 24, 2011

My father M N Masud was appointed UNESCO Mission Chief to Indonesia by Dag Hammarskjöld, and ambassador to Saudi Arabia by Pandit Nehru. He served as Maulana Azad's private secretary.

I arrived as a student in the US in 1960, and have managed the National Power Grid Study (directed a couple of dozen, multidisciplinary teams — total 150 persons), and the National Electric Reliability Study for the U.S. Department of Energy. I also set up and directed the Operations Review Division at the Iowa Commerce Commission. I’ve consulted for the U.S. Agency for International Development, and the World Bank — in Albania, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Latvia, Pakistan, Russia, and Tanzania.

Regarding what happened on September 11, 2001, if the UN is interested in facts, not myths, please peruse my paper on the Pentagon. At the September 12, 2001, Dept. of Defense News Briefing, "American Airlines", "Flight 77", "Boeing 757", were not even mentioned.

The enclosed book 9/11 Unveiled is an Executive Summary of several years of research, and shows that much of what we’ve been told about 9/11 is false.

I am prepared to debate any representative of the US government on this issue. Prof Richard Falk should be commended for speaking out.

Establishment news media bears the primary responsibility for Islamophobia

Establishment news media bears the primary responsibility for Islamophobia. Had they been doing there job, Americans would not be so easily manipulated.

Whether it is the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, the ravages caused by US covert actions, or the tragic events of September 11, 2001, establishment news media has failed to give us timely, truthful and balanced accounts.

Take 9/11 — arguably the biggest driver of Islamophobia, how many Americans know that 2000+ engineers, architects, military and intelligence personnel, scientists, pilots, and professors do not believe the official account of 9/11?

This opposition to the official account is unprecendented. Yet establishment news media have failed to report this, and to inquire why the official account is so discredited in both the US and overseas.

Of course, others — particularly Muslim leaders, are not blameless.

If you're interested in getting to the truth about 9/11, I suggest beginning with this account of what happened at the Pentagon.
